Finally last year Galaxy J7 (2016) gets new update with December patch

The Galaxy J7 (2016) gets her first security patch since the update to Android 7.0 Nougat. It is the patch of the month of December.
The Galaxy J7 (2016) got the jump to October 7.0 in October . Since then it has been quiet on the update front for the device, which gets a new security patch once a quarter. And now it is that time again.

Galaxy J7 (2016) December update

For the Dutch Galaxy J7 (2016) the update to firmware version J710FXXU4BQL3 is now ready for installation. This basically contains the security patch of the month of December , including a considerable amount of fixes from both Google and Samsung.
With this update it also becomes clear that Samsung is not yet ready to keep the J7 from 2016 up-to-date. That device appeared here in the summer of that year. Based on that, we therefore expect the security updates to continue until at least the next summer.

availabilty

The update is now available on the Dutch Galaxy J7 (2016). Because there are also a lot of imported copies of this device sold, it may happen that your device version does not get the update yet - or has received it earlier. If the update is ready for download, the phone will at least start automatically with it. Via  Settingsand  Software update you can also tap the Download updates manually option  to start the download process.
